Scotland keeper Rab Douglas has picked his Star Sixes dream team, and he’s chosen a host of Hoops.
The former Celtic stopper spent five seasons with the Glasgow giants, winning three Scottish Premier League titles.
He also had spells with Dundee and Leicester City, but when asked to select his all-time six-a-side team from former teammates, he picked a quintet of Parkhead legends – with himself in sticks!
“Henrik Larsson would be in there,” said Douglas, who will play in Dominic Matteo’s Scotland side at the inaugural Star Sixes tournament at The O2 in July.
“He’s done it everywhere, not just Celtic but Barcelona, Manchester United.
“He just had everything, he put the effort in and training meant a lot to him as well.
“You could see his skill, but he could play everywhere, he was so sharp.”
He added: “With him I’d have Chris Sutton, Stiliyan Petrov, Lubo Moravčíik, who would be my hidden gem and Johan Mjällby.
“And I’d definitely have to pick myself in goal in that team, I’d love to play with them again!”
Make sure you don’t miss the inaugural Star Sixes tournament at The O2, where 12 international teams will go head-to-head from 13-16 July for the first trophy. Get your tickets at Ticketmaster or AXS.
