Elegant and steady Dominic Matteo started his career at Liverpool earning a reputation as a versatile defender. He would join Leeds and was part of the famous Leeds team that reached the Champions League semi-final. He would become club captain here, before ending his career at Blackburn and Stoke having played at the highest level. His best moment was scoring at the San Siro against AC Milan ensuring Leeds would qualify from the Champions League group stages. He made his debut for Scotland against Australia in November 2000.
