Daniel Jensen

Denmark 2017

Having started his career with Danish club B93, Jensen then had five seasons with Heerenveen in the Netherlands. A move to Real Murcia followed and, despite relegation, his form was good enough to earn him a call-up to the Denmark squad for UEFA EURO 2004. He moved to Werder Bremen, where he won the German Cup and German League Cup, before switches to Italy and back to Denmark to finish his career. He scored three times for his country, his most important being the winner against Portugal in a World Cup qualifier, keeping Denmark’s dream of competing at the 2010 World Cup alive.
