Daniel Amokachi

Amokachi started his career in Nigeria before a transfer to Europe with Club Brugge. Following a successful spell in Belgium, he would move to the blue half of Merseyside. Whilst with Everton he would help them win the FA Cup in 1995, and famously subbing himself on in the semi-final where he would score two goals against Spurs. A spell in Turkey with Beşiktaş was next, before injury prevented him from playing against despite signing for several clubs. Nicknamed the Bull due to his speed and strength, he was part of Nigeria’s golden years. He would play at two World Cups, and win the Africa Cup of Nations and Olympic gold, scoring in the gold medal match.
